Be Encouraged

It’s been a rough year. Yet as a new blogger, authenticitee captured the potential of my range as a woman and as a writer. I have had the pleasure of meeting some amazing people here. Those who regularly engaged with me by leaving comments, I got to know better than others. However you all have been in my thoughts and prayers.

God is so good but life can be so cruel. Sometimes we struggle with doing right and other times we can’t stop doing wrong. I’ve lived both sides of the coin. And even now in the midst of a very difficult time I say to you, be encouraged

“You e?”, they say. “We didn’t know you were going through!” That’s because I never talk about my trials; it’s much more important to me that others don’t give up! How does that translate for those of us who incessantly and without a second thought, care more for others than ourselves?

Though I do not personally ascribe to new age, metaphysical beliefs, I know people who do. Seeing how I care so deeply for all people, while enduring trauma of my own, they’ve often described me as an empath

Google dictionary defines an empath this way:

“em·path

ˈempaTH/

noun

(chiefly in science fiction) a person with the paranormal ability to apprehend the mental or emotional state of another individual.”

An according to http://www.themindunleashed.org:

“Being an empath is when you are affected by other people’s energies, and have an innate ability to intuitively feel and perceive others. Your life is unconsciously influenced by others’ desires, wishes, thoughts, and moods. Being an empath is much more than being highly sensitive and it’s not just limited to emotions.”

My personal belief system directs me to the Bible which is a sacred text for me. One of the scriptures that reminds me of Jesus who is the Christ’s way of loving is found in the A portion of Hebrews 4:15

For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities

DOPENESS. He led by an example of not only great leadership, He was not so standoffish that He couldn’t feel what others were feeling.

So be encouraged today. Please take care of yourself, while caring for others! I’ve learned the hard way that self care is not selfish, it’s imperative. Remember that you as a caregiver are most loved and cared about too!! You may not feel like or even believe it, but you were born for a reason and are someone’s reason to smile. Don’t believe the lie that you don’t matter, because you do.

  1. e, sending you a huge hug and prayers. Love you! So sorry to hear that you are struggling now. If you share your struggles online, even hinting at them rather than specifying them, you will get love and prayers from your readers.

  2. I’m more on the metaphysical end of the spectrum, but your words have still resonated with me e. You have a way of sharing your belief without forcing it on people or expecting all people to subscribe to it. Hope whatever is hard for you gets easier.
