TO THE GIRL WITH THE BRUISED HIPS

I just know that you were moving. Pace staggered to echo breathing gone erratic. Strong; you were more than folklore. You consisted of manifested dreams and earned stripes amidst kinks in armor. Bows and arrows lauded your every movement until silenced by defeat.

But I see you whole Warrior. Injured but incapable of quitting. So rest if you must. Rest until healing nurtures what neglect mishandled. And this time when you return to war, victory will supersede the peace that deception stole.
