Welcome to Day 1 of #TheLoveLetterProject Writing Challenge created by Marie of The Notion Of Love! Featured during my Instagram Writer Crush Series; Marie is one of my favorite poets! She invites us to make a difference by writing a letter one day at a time!
Open to everyone this challenge is great for writing prompts, writer’s block and perfect for those new to journaling or struggling with consistent writing! Be sure to tag Marie on her Instagram page and use the hashtag #TheLoveLetterProject for a chance to be featured! If you’re not on Instagram, use the hashtag and mention @TheNotionOfLove in your blog post! Feel free to repost and/or share with other writers. I’ve found being a part of a thriving writing community; priceless!

Sooo…
Since today is also #ThrowbackThursday I decided to share one of my vintage pieces entitled Haunted for Day 1.
HAUNTED
Written by Ericka Arthur – June 2016
There are moments when I’m angry.
Days when I don’t want to speak in code smeared in morse nor shielded by prose.
The air thick with quiet.
Forcing me to relive pain behind doors now closed.
Smothered by every flashback of you not having my back.
Haunted about lies shrouded in wasted times.
Taunted by my high road refusal to drop dimes.
Shamed and gag ordered by my response to pain.
‘Cause now there’s another that can drop my name.

I’m sure this will be a worthwhile challenge. Don’t have time to take on the project, nor do I have Instagram and other social media, but I do hope to read some of your submissions. Interesting. 😀

Ms. Oneta!! I’m so happy to hear from you. I’m super excited about this writing challenge. I haven’t committed to one since my WordPress Writing 101 class three years ago. We’ll see what happens! Sending hugs your way!💫e

Thanks much for the hugs. I am so happy for your growth and influence with your ministry (ministries). I’ve been close to inactive for a few weeks due to cataract surgery and computer problems; I’m excited to be back. 😀
