Nothing could be more perfect than to celebrate International Women’s Day and it’s symbolic power color Red with today’s featured poet! Meet Surabhi Singhi! 

The first thing you can’t help but notice is her beautiful smile; not to be outdone by her warmth and kindness! As someone new to Authenticitee Speaks, I haven’t had the privilege of knowing Surabhi as long as the other poets. Surabhi introduced herself during the Open Call for the #WriterCrushWednesday series; and I’m so glad she did! She expressed interest in sharing her voice as a poet and an artist and I became an instant fan!

My name is Surabhi Singhi. I reside in India. I experiment (with) art, poetry, designing and anything that appeals to my curious soul. I am a big believer in miracles, stardust (magic dust) and fairy tales.

My secret power is – Healing through love. My elixir for life is spilling my thoughts and words to paper.

Poem 1  

Title: Summer Long Ago 

Numbness held my hand, summer long ago

It echoed, within my empty soul.

A vessel, 

A form,

A body

To nothingness it turned. 

They came in pairs and groups,

They knocked at the door,

Unwelcomed guests 

They left from within my empty soul.

Title: Omnipresent

Where do I go for inspiration

Where do I look

Its all around me

Its below and above me

I look,

I see,

I stare,

I smile.

It stares right back at me

It is everywhere

Its just good or bad

But designs are everywhere

To inspire, to touch and leave us moved

It’s omnipresent like nature.
