Mind if I Join You?

IMG_1077

In an overcrowded sphere inundated with inspiration e v e r y w h e r e…

I too now lend my voice.

Perhaps in between the oft interrupted syncopated rhythm of life, you also find yourself intermittently malnourished; though immersed in song, surrounded by people, quotes, verse, pics, memes, sermons and prose.

Mind if I Join You?

We’ll sit and talk transiently. Laugh. Cry. Pray. Daydream…all in no particular order of course. We’ll dance in between rain drops and seek shelter under the shadow of the Almighty. I’ll be brazenly assertive at times (hence the caps) with much to say about matters embedded in my heart; while whispering encrypted messages of hope on other days; hoping you…don’t notice me at all. I’m here now and it’d be cool if you decided to stay awhile. I’ll speak from experience, keenly aware it doesn’t always convey expertise. I’ll share authentically as the Holy Spirit leads. I’ll vent at times revealing soulish frailty. I’ll give praises to God unashamedly, whose deposit in me may be what you need.

Campaign promises? No.
An invitation of sorts? Yes.
Authentic? Always.

It’s possible I may be carrying just what you need to face another moment. You see, carrying what you may need takes the focus and pressure off of me. Another human being is not what you nor I need. Its God through Christ Jesus. Yeah, He’s Deity to me (that’s why I always use a lower case “e”).

An invitation? Thou sayest.

The choice? All yours.
Authentic? Always.

So in closing…(how formal)

A few disclaimers before I bid you adieu
Just some things I should mention
Oblige me, won’t you?
THIS IS A SHADE FREE NO JUDGMENT ZONE.
Doubt I’d need to say that again
You’re free to be you, as I am me
Though my grammar may make you cringe
I have a burden for the hurting
so they’re my only concern
So in spite of run on sentences coupled with schismatic punctuation
Its a blessed space (drops mic, court’s adjourned)
Now that you’re here
Enjoy yourself
Smile, take it all in
Oh and let’s not be selfish Beloved
Next time…bring a friend.

Inspired to inspire,

e

  1. E, glad you are here. A young woman with an old soul. Come to get enlightened, friends, lest you miss a lesson. May the Lord write upon your heart, so you may share, my sis.

Not alone am I with my need to vent, and a “a shade free no judgement zone”. . .Your words are all well spent. Thank you Sister, for being You…for my heart is aching to be true…Not to be a copy or a shade turned down…I needed your input…you give solid ground. By the way, your grammar is my “gamma” for my “emmo’s”! Thank-you

      1. All you have to do is copy the image from my blog, and post it on your blog. Then answer the questions and nominate more bloggers. Have fun with it! I’ve met so many cool people doing these awards and its been fun each time.

  4. What a lovely blog! And what a lovely style. Do I say it’s friendly, assertive, inspirational or confident? Maybe all four and much more. Shine on loving friend. The light in the world is far from sufficient. We need billions of candles more. Keep yours ever shining. ILU.
